Welcome to the virtual home of Gamma Xi Omega Chapter!  I am delighted that you have taken the time to peruse our website to learn more about our illustrious organization, our chapter and our programs. Since our chartering on February 14, 1942, Gamma Xi Omega has developed and implemented programs that have enriched and enhanced the lives of the residents of Charleston and the surrounding communities.  Under the leadership of our International President, Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, we are “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service”.  This 2018 - 2022 program agenda provides us opportunities to work with passion and purpose to implement the five target areas, the seven Community Impact Days, and the sorority’s Signature Program, #CAP (College Admissions Process).

We are committed to carrying out the legacy of our beloved sorority through supreme service and sisterhood. Our membership is composed of educated, dedicated and motivated women who have a variety of talents, proven leadership skills and a commitment to the global community.

As you explore our website, you will find chapter history, sorority history, current programs and chapter activities and events.  I invite you to return often to stay abreast of how we make a difference through service and advocacy.  If you are a current member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and are looking for a chapter to call home, please feel free to contact us for more information.

On behalf of the officers and members of Gamma Xi Omega Chapter, thank you for visiting our website!

Yours in Service,

Dena G. Magwood, President
